So this weekend Tyler and I celebrated two birthdays. The first was for Val, Tyler’s dad, and the second was for Nolan, Tyler’s uncle. We started out the weekend by going over to the Browns for Cake and ice cream. Liana and Joel came with Jaxon and we sat and chated for a while. After they left, Tyler and I got April and Val to play a card game called Flippity Flop (also known as Golf, but my name is just more fun to say.) We sat up with them till it was way past their bed times and left about 11:30.
It was so much fun!

The next day we went to lunch with all the Browns at Texas Roadhouse. Which is always so tasty!
They made Val get up on the saddle while everyone yelled a big yeehaw for his bday. It was great!
Sunday was the beginning of the birthday celebration for Nolan.
We always go over to Nolans on Sundays, but this sunday I was so excited because our good friend Brooks was in town. We were able to visit and watch Mean Girls. So much fun. Then of course we sang happy birthday and had cake and cheese cake… yes, cake and cheese cake! They were both really tasty.

Monday was our final day of celebration. We went to a fun bday dinner with Nolan and Kam. Macaroni Grill and Sub Zero Ice Cream. It doesn’t get any better than that!
So tasty.
What a fun weekend and Happy birthday once again to Val and Nolan! We love you both!

I’m officially an aunt! Well at least on my side of the family. On Tyler’s side of the family we have a nephew and a niece, but my sister now has a little boy. So we have someone to spoil on both sides of the family now and be their favorite aunt and uncle.
So Baby James, Welcome to the family!
(Oh and Thanks katie for the Picture from facebook.
Oh and Yes I am super late because he was born on April 23rd )

As many of you know, I get headaches really bad, pretty much all the time. I have done anything and everything to stop them. People ask, do you grind your teeth, do you get enough sleep, do you get enough water, etc… I cannot link my headaches to anything and don’t worry, I have had an MRI and nothing. So that is good right! Anyhow, So a little while ago I went to the doctor and she gave me a great recommendation. She is going to have me take Vitamin D and Vitamin E. I guess they help open different receptors. I agreed to go ahead and start taking them. Why not right, If I don’t have to be dependent on pain medications I will try it! So wish me luck as I begin to take 2000 I.U. of Vitamin D and 800 I.U. of vitamin E daily!
Oh, PS if anyone has good sugguestions for other ways to get rid of headaches I am always open.

So Tyler and I have made a mistake. So most of my friends know that I do not like cats, but there is this cat that lurks around our house a lot more than we would like. So the other day, Tyler and I thought we would be nice to the cat. We gave it a little bit of lunch meat and Tyler pet it a little bit. The rest of the night we heard it meowing outside our door from 8 at night until midnight when we finally went to bed. It wouldn’t have been a bit deal except for all the meowing and the fact that it sat up on the third step so it could see our door/window (we live in a basement apartment and our front door has a window in it). So that was a little weird. This all happened on Saturday.
Today Tyler came and picked me up for lunch and it was pretty warm outside so he left the windows down a few inches. When we came out of the house and went to get in the car we hear meowing… The car and somehow got in the car! We didn’t really understand how it got in there because the windows weren’t down that far. Weird.
Through all of this I think we have made a new friend because we still hear it meowing outside our door. Needless to say, Tyler decided to call it Maui… get it…

So A few weeks ago the manager at riverwoods called me into his office. He said I have good news and bad news. I assumed it was going to be about Riverwoods’ broken coin machine… Well I was wrong. Thinking that the bad news wouldn’t be so bad, I asked for that first. Well that wasn’t smart. He told me I was going to be transferred to the Pleasant Grove office. I was shoked and really upset for a while. After a week or so, I was alright with the change. So this post may be kind of dumb, but I just wanted to let everyone at the Riverwoods office know that I loved working with them. I worked with some awesome people and I will miss seeing them almost everyday. On the bright side, I drive about 5 mins to work…
That is pretty awesome. Oh and so far in my first week here, I have enjoyed all the employees at Pleasant Grove. It will be a fun change for a while.

Alright so both Tyler and I are back in school full time and don’t worry we are still working full time too… I know we are crazy.
At the end of last semester I am happy to say I hit my 90 credit mark and I am officially a senior! Hurray! So about two months ago I chatted with a counselor to see if I was on track, and don’t worry I am, but I have to retake English 150… Freshman english. (Long story) So now I get to brag, I am taking English 150, Physical Science 100, Art something or other 201, New Testament, and then one Psych class, Leadership Development. Geez, I cannot begin to tell you how funny it is with all the Freshman in my first three classes. It will be an entertaining but busy semester to say the least.
Don’t worry, I think Tyler might be a Sophomore this semester. He is taking Humanities, Business communications, an online Health class, Ethics and Values, and Accounting which he might get out of… we will see. This semester should be so fun. We are trying to stay positive!

When Tyler and I went out to our cars on Christmas Eve there was the coolest snow ever! So I had fun taking some pictures.
And the last picture Tyler had fun editing. What pretty snowflakes.

Tyler gave me the best surprise I have had well probably ever! So about a month ago Tyler told me not to look at the credit cards (which me working at a bank was hard to do), but I obeyed and I didn’t. Well for a week before my birthday he kept making small hints about saturday and me not being able to do anything, homework… go to the BYU game… Well finally friday night we played 20 questions (really it was Melanie guess until you get it) but I figured out that there were people but not friends, animals were kind of involved but not water, and it was south. Well finally I figured out it that he bought me Tickets to see The Lion King in Las Vegas!
We left Saturday morning and made it down to Vegas by 12:30ish. So we picked up our tickets to the show and then went to check in at our hotel. Well we got there and as they handed us our room keys the lady helping us said, since we are all booked out tonight I upgraded your room to a one room suite at no extra cost! (Those are pictures of the suite) What an excellent birthday.
The Lion King was an amazing show. Tyler even liked it (and considering it was a musical that is pretty tough). The costumes were amazing and the music was too! We enjoyed walking around and seeing everything there is to see in Vegas. Oh don’t worry we even stopped at Raising Cane’s (a southern chain restaurant that Tyler fell in love with on his mission). It was such a great weekend! Thank you Tyler for the wonderful Birthday surpise!
