I’m a officially a Senior, but feel like a Freshman!

Alright so both Tyler and I are back in school full time and don’t worry we are still working full time too… I know we are crazy.

At the end of last semester I am happy to say I hit my 90 credit mark and I am officially a senior!  Hurray!  So about two months ago I chatted with a counselor to see if I was on track, and don’t worry I am, but I have to retake English 150… Freshman english.  (Long story)  So now I get to brag, I am taking English 150, Physical Science 100, Art something or other 201, New Testament, and then one Psych class, Leadership Development.  Geez, I cannot begin to tell you how funny it is with all the Freshman in my first three classes.  It will be an entertaining but busy semester to say the least.

Don’t worry, I think Tyler might be a Sophomore this semester.  He is taking Humanities, Business communications, an online Health class, Ethics and Values, and Accounting which he might get out of… we will see.  This semester should be so fun.  We are trying to stay positive!

Snow on Christmas Eve!

When Tyler and I went out to our cars on Christmas Eve there was the coolest snow ever!  So I had fun taking some pictures.  :) And the last picture Tyler had fun editing.  What pretty snowflakes.

Birthday in Vegas?!

Tyler gave me the best surprise I have had well probably ever! So about a month ago Tyler told me not to look at the credit cards (which me working at a bank was hard to do), but I obeyed and I didn’t.  Well for a week before my birthday he kept making small hints about saturday and me not being able to do anything, homework… go to the BYU game… Well finally friday night we played 20 questions (really it was Melanie guess until you get it) but I figured out that there were people but not friends, animals were kind of involved but not water, and it was south.  Well finally I figured out it that he bought me Tickets to see The Lion King in Las Vegas!

We left Saturday morning and made it down to Vegas by 12:30ish.  So we picked up our tickets to the show and then went to check in at our hotel.  Well we got there and as they handed us our room keys the lady helping us said, since we are all booked out tonight I upgraded your room to a one room suite at no extra cost! (Those are pictures of the suite) What an excellent birthday.

The Lion King was an amazing show.  Tyler even liked it (and considering it was a musical that is pretty tough).  The costumes were amazing and the music was too!  We enjoyed walking around and seeing everything there is to see in Vegas.  Oh don’t worry we even stopped at Raising Cane’s (a southern chain restaurant that Tyler fell in love with on his mission).  It was such a great weekend!  Thank you Tyler for the wonderful Birthday surpise!

Moochies!

So a while back Tyler, Joseph (my little Brother) and I were watching Diners, Drive-ins and Dives.  This episode was all about subs.  Then they introduced this place in salt lake called Moochies that makes meatball subs and philly cheese.  We had to try it!  So we went while we were on our honeymoon ( I know, so romantic).  The first time we went there we tried the meatball sub.  Man alive it was excellent!  Then about two weeks ago, we went with my parents and I still got the meatball, but everyone else tried the philly cheese.  Ok it is kind of one of those hole in the wall places, but it is super tasty!!Summer 2009 090

One year since….

So I was reflecting on a fun little trip that I went on last summer and I thought to myself.  That was exactally a year ago… which means, one year ago today Tyler proposed to me.  It is crazy to think that one year ago we were walking through Disneyland, me just happy watching the fireworks and Tyler slightly nervous with his hand in his pocket making sure it was still there.  If you want to read the whole story… http://www.melface.com/2008/10/01/im-engaged/

Montana

So a while back Tyler and I went with my mom, dad, aunt and cousin up to Montana for my Aunt Rosemary and Uncle Don’s fifty fifth Wedding anniversary.  We thought it would be pretty boring and it ended up not being too bad.  We stopped on the side of the road outside of Conrad to take this picture of the McCracken farm… well the silo.
